Do you think that every student here at Brunswick Junior High School should feel safe, welcome, and respected for who they are?  The civil rights team does.  But we know that in every school community, there are things that happen so that not all students feel this way.  Sometimes these things are related to race and skin color, national origin and ancestry, religion, disabilities, gender (including gender identity or expression), or sexual orientation.  Maybe you’re aware of some of these issues here in our school… and maybe not.  But these things happen.

This is a problem, but you can be a part of the solution.  You can join the Brunswick Junior High School civil rights team!  The civil rights team believes that in our school community, everyone should feel safe, welcome, and respected for who they are.  We believe that bias, prejudice, and hate have no place in our school.  We can do better than that!  We can celebrate our differences and work together to create the kind of school community we all want, where everyone truly belongs.

If this sounds like something you might want to be a part of please join the Brunswick Junior High Civil Rights team. Beginning on September 19th we meet every Monday after school until 3:30 in Mr. Kosak's room, room 31?  Thank you!  The civil rights team looks forward to working with all of you this year!

Q&A Club begins September 30 - stay tuned for more details!

The late bus for sports and activities will start on September 19.  It will run on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.  Students using the Late Bus will need to get a late bus pass from the office on the morning of the day they will be utilizing the late bus.
