Happy Pride Week, BJHS! Have you heard of the local organization, OUT Maine? Their mission is to “Build Welcoming and Affirming Communities for Maine’s LGBTQ+ Youth.” Years ago, when we were organizing our first “Q+A Club,” they helped us envision how awesome this group could really be. OUT Maine offers many FREE opportunities for students to connect and learn–both in person and online, during the school year as well as over summer break. Check them out today, at OUTMaine.org.
Coming up: Friday is “Wear Rainbow” Day, and our whole town will be celebrating Pride on the mall afterschool from 4pm-7pm. If you’d like to walk with us to Pride, see Mr. McNamara in room 403 for a Field Trip form.
