MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Cell Phone, Smart Watch, and Wireless Headphone Procedure
Cell phones, smart watches, and wireless headphones will be turned off and put away upon entering the building and put away in a locker or backpack during the school day.
Students may use wired headphones throughout the day at the teacher’s discretion.
Cell phones, smart watches, and wireless headphones may be used at the beginning of dismissal at 2:25pm. Dismissal is at 2:30pm.
No cell phones, smart watches or wireless headphones shall be used during detention or tutoring.
The school is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged technology, or any financial obligations resulting from cellular phones, smart watches, or wireless headphones.
If a staff member sees or hears a student's device, they will either confiscate the device and turn it into the office or ask the student to turn it into the office.
Violations of the rules may result in loss of the privilege to have a phone at school.
Please note that the changes to our practice for the 2024-2025 school year are:
- The inclusion of smart watches turned off and put away during the school day.
- Student cell phones are turned off and put away when they enter the building. Previously, students could use their phones until the start of the school day at 7:50am.
COVID PROTOCOL:
If you test positive for Covid, we are treating it like any other respiratory illness, such as influenza.

FYI basic illness guidelines for school and return to work are as follows:
- Fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications
- No uncontrolled cough
- Free from vomiting and diarrhea for 24 hours
- Symptoms overall improving with enough energy to make it through the school day
The Late Bus will start on September 16! If you need to use the Late Bus, stop by the office to sign up to get a Bus pass!

Cross Country Meet @ Cape MS (GullCrest Fields), Dismissal 2:05, Bus 2:15
Girls Soccer Away@ Cape MS, Dismissal 2:05, Bus 2:15, 8th- 3:30, 7th- 4:45
Boys Soccer Home vs. Cape, 8th- 4pm, 7th- 5:15pm- 8th grade report to the field after school, 7th grade can go home or report to Room 308 (Mrs. Similien's room) until 4pm
8th FH Practice 2:45-3:45, stay to watch the 6/7th game until 4:15
6/7th FH Game Home vs. Lake Region 4pm, You can go home or watch the 8th grade practice- please report to
the field by 3:30.
