Good morning everyone! The GaGa Pit band made up of Ms. LeBlanc, Mr, McNamara, Mr. Macisso, Mr. Cross, and Mr. Nichols will be playing at the Staff Talent Show on Wednesday night. Mrs. Bosarge will be singing, as well as Mr. Bernier and Mrs. Howell.

Mr. Feltis, Mr. Ellis, Mr. Leitzell, and Mr. Weafer will be poolside doing synchronized swimming! And there will be lots of other fun acts!

Stay tuned to Monday's announcements to hear who else will be performing!

We hope you will come support the BJHS student activities fund on Wednesday night at 6:30 pm. The Show will be held at the Coffin Performance Center!

Don’t forget about the Life Happens Outside Challenge sponsored by Teens to Trails. The challenge is from May 10 through May 17! Use your class tracker to track the minutes of your advisory group - the advisory with the most minutes will get a pizza party!!

Starting on Monday, May 21, there will be a Pet Food and Toy Drive for the Midcoast Humane of Brunswick. Each advisory will donate Wet puppy and kitten food and toys. The advisory that donates the most toys and food wins a pizza party from Warmings Market! The drive ends on Friday, May 31. Good Luck!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Struggling with mental health can be a scary, dark or intense battle and it can be hard to talk about. Reach out to your people, your friends, teammates, family, coaches or another trusted adult. No one deserves to struggle alone. If you need to talk, the mental health team here at BJHS (Mrs. Roy, Mrs. Weeks, Miss. Wood, Miss. Caitlin, Dr. Gleeson and nurse Jenn) are always ready to help, listen and support you.

Are you interested in a pickleball Tournament? Well, you’re in luck – the Badminton Tournament has been changed to a Pickleball Tournament! Sign up in the lobby; the tournament is put on by Community Outreach- it takes place on May 17th at 2:45 to 4:00 and the 1st place winners get a free small Gelato Fiasco gift card.

Reminder that submissions to the BJHS literary journal Dragon Tales are due May 10th. Email your writing to Mrs. Brubaker. Dragon Tales is also accepting submissions for cover design. Submit electronic or hand drawn designs to Mrs. Brubaker by May 10th.

Mental health awareness is the ongoing effort to reduce the stigma around mental illness and mental health conditions by talking about it, sharing experiences, supporting one another and reaching out for support. – Be kind to Your Mind!

    • Chess Club meets weekly in Room 317 at the walker bell and will end at 3:30.

    • Coffin Food Market - Open to all Brunswick Residents with school aged kids - Market is open from 3 to 5 pm weekly.
