Attention 8th graders: Don’t forget tonight is the transition night at the High School!  It is an evening for 8th grade families!  Get a tour of the school, meet coaches, get information about 9th grade course schedules and more!  The evening starts at 6 pm!
This is a message from the library. All library books are due back by Wednesday, May 31st. Currently we have hundreds of books that are overdue. Please check your due date and if your book is overdue, please return it, or renew it.
Excessive social media use as a child may lead to a higher risk of poor mental health, a recent report by the U.S. Surgeon General has found. The US Surgeon General also noted: 
Social media can perpetuate feelings of body dissatisfaction, especially among adolescent girls.
Social media may be overstimulating the brain in ways comparable to addiction.
Excessive use of social media has been associated with problems sleeping and difficulty paying attention.
This is a reminder that all student library books are due back next Wednesday, May 31st. Please check carefully for any books that are overdue, as students will be billed for those that are not returned.

For her community outreach project, Anna Klingle(Grade 8) is holding a Fund Drive for The Gathering Place. The Gathering Place is a homeless/poverty shelter. The needed funds include: ground coffee(regular or decaf), sugar, powdered drink mixes (iced tea and fruit punch), smooth peanut butter, coffee mugs, paper plates, paper cups, and napkins. Please put these needed donations in the labeled box on the Junior High cafeteria stage. Thank you so much!  Fundraiser ends May 31.

REMINDER:  Water only is allowed during school hours!  This includes lunch period !  No energy drinks, coffee, soda, etc.

Introduction to Volleyball for ages 10-17!

July 31 – August 2, 2023 • 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM • Ages 10 – 17
Led by CMCC Volleyball Coach Kyle Chapman

Are you new to the sport of volleyball? Do you want to tryout this year for your school’s team? Don’t miss this opportunity to learn the introductory skills from the CMCC coaching staff! They will focus on teaching the skills and drills of volleyball with an emphasis on the fundamentals. Each session will focus on the athlete gaining skills and truly enjoying the game. Athletes will learn in a fun learning environment where positive reinforcement is the teaching tool. All athletes from 5th grade up through high school are welcome to come and learn.

Lunch will be provided by the CMCC Dining Commons. Each participant will receive a new 2023 CMCC Summer Program t-shirt. This program is limited to 24 participants.

HS Elite Girls Volleyball

August 6 – 9, 2023 • HS Freshmen – Seniors
Led by CMCC Volleyball Coach Kyle Chapman

This overnight camp is designed for high school athletes looking to take their game to the next level. Athletes will get a taste of college and stay overnight in the dorms. Practices will be fast paced and focus on advanced strategy and competitive, game-like play. Nightly activities will consist of learning about the college recruiting process and building relationships with the other athletes.

Meals will be provided by the CMCC Dining Commons. Each participant will receive a 2023 CMCC Summer Program t-shirt. This program is limited to 24 participants.
