Inspiring voices at Brunswick High School Library today! We had the honor of hosting two remarkable women: Maria Omare, founder and executive director of The Action Foundation in Nairobi, Kenya. Her organization creates inclusive programs supporting girls and women with disabilities. Juliet Mwongeli Muema, champion para-cyclist and Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games qualifier. Juliet also serves as Program Officer for The Action Foundation's Adolescent Girls and Young Women's Empowerment Program. Our students led engaging discussions, learning firsthand about disability inclusion and women's empowerment. What an incredible opportunity to broaden perspectives and inspire change! #Inclusion #WomenEmpowerment #DisabilityRights #maineschoolsuperintendent #teambrunswickme

Today, our Junior High counseling team executed our first annual "BeeBop Back-to-School Caravan." They received gift card donations from Bar Harbor Bank and Trust @bhbtsocial and fresh muffins from @wildoatsbakery. They made goodie bags for approximately 20 students who struggled with attendance last year and hit the road. They took a bus, played music, and dropped in on some kiddos (we told them we were coming through RMT). #teambrunswickme @countmeinmaine @brunswickme #mainelovespublicschools
