Brunswick is State Mock Trial Champion for 2024
On Tuesday, December 3, the Brunswick High School Mock Trial Team won the state mock trial
championship, defeating Casco Bay High School in the finals. The championship trial was held
in the Capital Judicial Center in Augusta. The Brunswick team qualified for the finals with an
impressive undefeated run through the preliminary trials held earlier in November. This is a team
that knows its way around a real courtroom. Congratulations!

The BHS Choirs will perform their Winter Concert, "Together in Song" on Wednesday, December 18th @ 7:00 PM in Crooker Theater. It will feature the Treble Choir, Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, and Acappella groups. It is free and open to the public! Our repertoire celebrates a diverse range of cultures and will feature pieces in Malay, Spanish, Yoruba, Latin, Hebrew, and Arabic, to name a few! Please join us as we come together to celebrate the power of song! We hope to see you there!
Join us for our annual Night of Swing and Jazz featuring our BHS Jazz Bands and Combos. Friday, December 6, 2024 at 7:15pm in Crooker Theater. Free and open to the public.
Join the Brunswick High School Symphonic Band and Honors Wind Ensemble for their winter concert To and Fro: music of people and places. Featuring music by Charles Ives, Mark Camphouse, Satoshi Yagisawa, Jodie Blackshaw, Ronald LoPresti, Andrew Boysen, Jr., and Randall Standridge. Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 7pm in Crooker Theater. Free and open to the public.
Payment is now being accepted for cap and gown packages for the Class of 2025!
Spring Musical Auditions - The Addams Family!
The BHS Players are excited to begin work on our Spring Musical, The Addams Family! Auditions will take place on December 9th & 10th after school in Crooker Theater. We will have two preparation workshops on Monday, December 2nd, and Thursday, December 5th, from 2:20 to 3:30 in the music room to help learn audition cuts. Music packets can be picked up outside the music room, and sign-ups can be found on the attached poster! Haven't seen the show? We will also have a watch party after school on Tuesday, December 3rd, in Crooker! The show will run two weekends on March 27th-30th and April 3rd-5th! We are looking for singers, dancers, and actors of all levels! This will be a large production, with many opportunities for all those who wish to be a part of it! All those who audition will be cast! Athletic Department Grade Checks:
The halfway point of quarter 2 is this Friday (December 6). All students registered for athletics must be taking at least 6 classes and passing at least 5 to remain eligible for competition.

BHS/MTA Wrestling News:
The MTA/Brunswick Wrestling team placed 5th at the Westlake Wrestling Tournament over the weekend. The team had 4 podium finishers, including Brunswick seniors Charlie Akeley-Martin who placed 2nd and captain Chris Watkinson who placed 3rd.
BHS Girls Hockey continues its winning streak!
In matinee action at the Biddeford Ice Arena, the Brunswick girls scored seven unanswered goals to top a dangerous Biddeford squad, 7-2.
Biddeford struck first on breakaway goals by Ashley Sanderson and Mckenna Buchannon, before the Dragons clawed back with one goal in the first, two in the second and four goals in the third to salt away the win.
Lauren Labbe had a hatrick for the guests, while Solveig Ledwick had two goals and an assist, Lisi Palmer had one goal and two assists, and Gillian Countway had three assists in the winning effort.
Sensia Ley shut the door after the first period and closed out the game with several strong stops to preserve the win. This win brings the girls to 4-0 on the season!

The Brunswick Boys Basketball Team store is officially open. If you would like to gear up for the upcoming basketball season this is your opportunity. It's a fundraiser for our program, so a portion of all sales will go back to our student/athletes. Thanks for considering. All purchases will be received by christmas.

Students who perform either of these tasks for various performances will receive community service hours and admission to the performance free of charge.
