Going to the lacrosse game on 5/28? Want to get paid for it?!
We are looking for someone to do the clock for lacrosse girls then boys on May 28. The games are at 5:00 and 6:30. This is a fun (paid!) way to watch the kids in their last home games of the season.
The responsibilities are to start/stop the clock and put goals up when needed. Written instructions are in the sound booth, and support will be supplied if needed.
SENIORS! In order to get your cap and gown, you need to complete this VERY SHORT survey about your post-secondary plans!
If you complete it before the day you pick up your cap and gown, we won't bug you to do it on that day! It saves you time and annoyance! Win-win!
Last Day of Late Bus is 6/6/24
Do you love to write? Invent words? Doodle? Think deep thoughts and scribble them on paper? Are you writing a short story? A novel? Haiku? If so, you're invited to Art & Writing EXPRESS with local author/artist Charlotte Agell. There is 1 upcoming workshop hosted at Curtis Memorial Library (June 5th at 3:30) The link for more information is here.

BHS Models Needed for event
Freeport Climate Action Now event: The ReFashion Show. Why is FCAN interested in fashion? The answer is simple: The fashion industry contributes to global climate change. Its share in global carbon emissions is estimated around 10% of total greenhouse gasses released worldwide. In addition, the impact of textile waste on the environment is catastrophic. Clothing has increasingly been considered disposable. In America alone, an estimated 11.3 million tons of textile waste is generated every year.
Fortunately, you can make a difference! Fashionable consumers can make ethical, sustainable, climate-friendly fashion choices, and Freeport CAN is hosting a planet-friendly fashion show to show you how!
Learn how you can create a wardrobe built with intention and awareness of where your clothes come from, what they’re made of, and why that matters. We will help you make choices to purchase more affordable vintage and secondhand pieces. The show will feature dozens of models showcasing an array of outfits from our local second hand retailers Kargoes, ReStyle, and Freeport Community Services’s Thrift shop.
The event is Friday, May 31, 2024 at Freeport’s Meetinghouse Arts. Doors open at 6:30, and refreshments will be served. Click on the link to purchase your ticket today!
Contact Laura Hench laurahench@yahoo.com ASAP if you are interested in modeling for this event!
