Calling all BHS student artists and photographers!
We're seeking photographs of places in Brunswick throughout the seasons or Brunswick-inspired artwork from BHS students!
Your artwork or photographs of places, landmarks and locations in Brunswick will be used as inspiration for student poets whose poems, along with your artwork, will be displayed in storefronts in Downtown Brunswick during National Poetry Month (April). This year's theme is "Brunswick: The Poetry Place."
Check your phones and/or art portfolios for artwork and photography of places, landmarks, or locations in Brunswick that are special to you and/or the community or create something new!
Submissions are due by Friday, January 12th.
Click here to submit your artwork and/or photographs (use a new form for each submission), or stop by the BHS Library for assistance scanning your original artwork.
Thanks so much,
Mrs. Jerome and the (3rd annual) Downtown Brunswick Poetry Stroll Committee
CLUB MEETINGS
ATHLETICS NEWS
The Brunswick Girls hockey team avenged an earlier 2-3 setback this season, sending home a raucous Yarmouth crowd disappointed Saturday night. Gillian Countway potted the game winner during the first shift in overtime. In a penalty-filled game, Brunswick had a 3-1 cushion until Freeport scored two power play goals in the third period to even the score at 3.
Countway had two assists to go with her goal. Solveig Ledwick and Lisi Palmer each chipped in with a goal and an assist for the dragons while Natalie Perham scored the other Brunswick goal. Lily Calderwood had two assists.
Hensleigh Labonte was sensational in net for the visitors, stopping 24 of 27 shots from Yarmouth.
Attention Senior Student Athletes The Brunswick High School Athletic Department will soon host a Signing Day for students who have committed to play their sport for their chosen college. This is an optional event.
If you have committed to a college team and would like to participate in this event, please email Mrs. Phillips at kphillips@brunswicksd.org

GUIDANCE OFFICE NEWS
College Rep Visits have wrapped up for the year, but fear not! We will resume in January.
Every month in the guidance office we have colleges from all over the country coming to BHS for college visits. This is the perfect time to start exploring colleges you or your student is interested in and ask questions. Please look at the picture for a calendar with dates and times for each school visiting. A monthly update will go out in the google classrooms and via ReachMyTeach. The visits are scheduled for one hour with the college representative and will take place in the guidance office. Please email me at kboies@brunswicksd.org if you want to meet with the rep!
