Night of Swing and Jazz
Join us this Friday, December 1 at 7pm in Crooker Theater for the annual Night of Swing and Jazz featuring music from the Brunswick High School Jazz Ensembles! Free and open to the public!
SPORTS NEWS
BHS-FHS boys hockey co-op started their 2023-24 campaign Friday evening with an impressive 10-0 win over Portland/SoPo in the Casco Bay JV League followed by 2 equally impressive though tighter Varsity wins, 4-3 over Camden Hills and 2-1 over Cony, in the Camden Hills Pre-Season Round Robin. What made the Camden and Cony victories so outstanding was the stand-on-your-head and no-soup-for-you backstopping of the Shoe Brothers: Michael "Left Shoe" and Gabe "Right Shoe" Shoemaker. Your Varsity Dragons next take on Lewiston Saturday at 8pm at Watson Arena in a pre-season exhibition contest that should prove challenging. Go Dragons!
On Sunday, December 3, from 1-3pm, the Boys Hockey Team will be pulling a 7000 pound Zamboni in competition against other 'pullers' on the site of the Six Rivers Youth Sports Complex in Topsham. That's right...a 3 1/2 ton Zamboni! In the parking lot! With nothing but rope and muscle! Check it out! Cheer them on! Flyers are posted on the Boys Hockey Bulletin Board in the main hallway; go on line; form a team; join in the fun. Coach Hages' extends the challenge to all other winter sports coaches and their teams: Form your own Zam-pull team and just try to beat us! Go Dragons!

CLASS NOTES
Seniors! Get excited! It’s time to purchase your cap and gown!
We are going to start accepting cap, gown and tassel payments. The cost is $28 for 1 or $56 for 2. If you have a student that only needs their 2024 tassel, the cost is $12. The payment deadline will be March 1, 2024.
Please note, tassel payment can only be accepted in cash or check.
If you need assistance with this payment, please reach out to Mrs. Boies (Shackley), or your students' guidance counselor.

GUIDANCE OFFICE NEWS
College Rep Visits have wrapped up for the year, but fear not! We will resume in January.
Every month in the guidance office we have colleges from all over the country coming to BHS for college visits. This is the perfect time to start exploring colleges you or your student is interested in and ask questions. Please look at the picture for a calendar with dates and times for each school visiting. A monthly update will go out in the google classrooms and via ReachMyTeach. The visits are scheduled for one hour with the college representative and will take place in the guidance office.
