On Saturday, the track team competed in heavy winds and rain at the Class A Track Championship at Mt. Ararat High School.
The boys' meet came down to the last event of the day, the 4x4 relay. The boys secured their place in history gaining 6 more points to out score Falmouth by 3 points and win the title.
The girls team had an outstanding day as well finishing 5th out of 26 teams.
In the boys meet Luke Patterson placed first in the 300 hurdles an
d set a new school record of 39.54 breaking the former record 40.71.
Also placing first was the 4x800 relay team of Miles Logan, Max Stadnicki, Eli Palmer and Ben Klingle.
Also scoring for the boys were: Justin Corporon, Spencer Stadnicki, Ryan McPerson, and Ethan Patterson.
The Girls 4x100 Relay team of Maddie Chaput, Kayla Monahan, Isabel Dauphinais and Lisi Palmer placed 1st overall as state champions.
Also scoring for the team were Maeve Woodruff, Elsa Reynolds, and Quinn McCormack.
The team will travel to Bangor on Saturday for the New England Championships.
