Dragon Fitness Center
On Monday, September 16 we held a ceremony to officially open our newly renovated Dragon Fitness Center. Pictured in both the new weight room and new yoga studio is Officer Bedard, Mr. Nadeau and Ms. Tuttle with representatives from Midcoast Parkview Health (Abigail Abbott, Emily Radziwon and Melissa Fochesato).
Mr. Nadeau spent a large amount of time painting, planning, and organizing the layout of the area. He and Officer Bedard are after school each day for an Open Lift for students. If you have not seen this area yet, it is worth the look. Please think about making use of this beautiful space.
The second photo shows a happy group of Dragons represents the student body's excitement over the new spaces which are used both in Physical Education settings and after school during Open Lift. #teambrunswickme #mainesuperintendent

🌽🎉 Our Kindergarten students had a farm-to-table experience today, thanks to the corm purchased from Fairwinds Farm! 🐄🌾
The kids had a blast shucking fresh, local corn 🌽 right from the farm, learning about where our food comes from and the importance of supporting local producers. After all their hard work, they enjoyed the fruits (or rather, the veggies!) of their labor for lunch. 🍽️✨
A big thank you to Fairwinds Farm for helping us make learning so delicious!

Zoology and Marine Science Field Trip -On September 12th, Mrs. Perkins took her Zoology and Marine Science students to Reid State Park to explore and map tidepools and collect specimens for observation. Students found a plethora of really cool organisms, including sea anemones, urchins, hermit crabs, dog whelks, and more!
The BHS Marine Science and Zoology classes went on a field trip to collect marine specimens for the cold-water marine tanks in the BHS Aquarium Room. The 300-gallon tanks are maintained by Marine Science and Zoology students and were funded by grants from the Brunswick Community Education Fund and the Maine Community Foundation. Students will spend the semester studying the organisms, their ecosystems, the biodiversity observed, and the potential effects of climate change on them. #teambrunswickme #maineschoolsuperintendent
