Dear Brunswick School Community,
Friday was the most tragic day possible in the Brunswick School Department. Anytime a young person loses their life, it is a profound tragedy. I know there are no words I can say to lessen the pain. As school board chair, I want to offer my deepest condolences to the Smith Family, friends, and relatives on behalf of the board. This is a family that has experienced a pain that no parent should ever have to feel. I am sure that in addition, the Brunswick School Department shares in this heartache for our neighbors.
There is nothing that I can say or do that can fix what has happened, but I know as a community that cares like we do, that we want to acknowledge and let the family and everyone in our community that is hurting know that we care about you.
